MPC Renaissance ASIO Driver

I'm having issues selecting this as my Device. I keep getting this error when I try to select the Ren ASIO Driver. I'm not sure what happen. I can't even select ASIO4ALL either. When I last closed my MPC Software it was my last Device that I was using. Any assistance. Thank you

Looks as if you drivers didn't install correctly. I would try locating the driver on your system and un-installing. Try disabling your Wi Fi adaptor...then re-installing the Ren drivers.

I didn't re-install the drivers yet, when I booted my computer up and loaded the MPC Software I was able to select it as my device. I'm gonna give it a few more days and see if it functions properly. If it doesn't work correctly then I'll try to re-install it.

Do you have any uninstall instructions I should follow or uninstall it from Device Manager will be good enough?

Device manager should suffice. If you encounter a pattern of instabilities you could install Revo Uninstaller and use it's fully functional 30 day demo mode. The upside to this method is that all registry keys pertaining to your ASIO drivers will be located and you will be prompted to delete them. If you aren't accustomed to such things just make sure the registry keys it deletes are in folders that say "M-Audio", "ASIO4All". Revo usually gets the keys right but it's best to look the list over before pressing delete. I believe you need to be in "Advanced" uninstall mode to have full access to view/delete the registry keys. You can set a restore point prior to deleting anything as well.

But you probably won't have to. I don't have a Ren but I've encountered every bizarre OS behavior at one time or another. My guess is your settings just got garbled during a shutdown of the software or a windows shutdown that closed the OS with some error or process not being properly shutdown. It's common and I've seen it screw up interface settings/dialogue boxes on FW/USB/PCI.

Just bought the Ren yesterday, having the same issue.. For the life of me i can't figure out what i've done wrong.

Running Windows 7, 64-bit
Installed the up to date software(v1.6.0)
Got the up to date firmware (v2.9.24)

The Ren seems to be talking to the software - it responds when i hit buttons etc, though no sound comes thru.

I was running an M-Audio Firewire Audiophile external soundcard, which i have now disconnected. Do i have to uninstall the drivers for that? Are they masking the installed MPC drivers for some reason? I've searched online for the same problem and i only came up with this thread.

Any help would be a god send, this is driving me nuts.

First turn the direct mon knob all the way clockwise. This make's sure your are only listening to computer playback(software monitoring)

Cheers for replying man.. It doesn't even recognise any ASIO driver though, like in the pic at the top of the page - just has that error message, but nothing in the 'Active Input Channels' field. It's like the PC can't find the driver or something. I've gone into control panel settings etc. Says it's there, but just isn't coming up as available in the MPC software.

To be honest, i wouldn't mind if the problem was software based, then i could fix it while listening to tunes, but my computer is essentially useless right now!

Do i have to uninstall the drivers for my previous soundcard first? Seems weird that i would have to, but that's all i can think of? And if i DO that, doesn't it render my 2500 useless? (apologies if these questions are stupid)..

Is it plugged directly into the PC USB port, not through a USB hub or other device?

Have you made sure that something else isn't trying to use the Renaissance audio interface, such as ASIO4ALL or your Windows system sounds?

You sir, are a legend. Had it plugged into a USB3 port, like my old Firewire card was. Moved it into another one, worked like a charm. So i now have Ren sounds and PC sound pass through. Phase 1 complete.
