having issues when chopping in audition.

Just bought Mpc studio yesterday and getting a feel for it and its sampling editing. Is sampling im in regions and wanna set my sample chops while audition mode is on so I can hear every sample and get a feel but samples are overlapping when I hit pads. I donf know if I have to set the program to mono prior to sample editing or what.

P.s. How do you select.your external hard drive from the browser?

Ah, right, now I get it; you said samples are overlapping when you hit the pads, and didn't mean the slices.
My bad – my tip would only prevent slices from overlapping in chop mode.

Anyways, you have to set the play mode of the program to mono in the master.
Program edit -> master ... there it is.
That'll only let one pad play at a time.

Now this is not while a program has been made its when im audition
