Can I run a .dll VST in the MPC software on a Mac? I have one VST plugin, but I have no way to tell if it's a .dll or not. But I know that you can't typically use .dll on Macs. So, I'm confused here. :hmmm:

EDIT: Is there a way to scan for plugins in the software? I installed a new plugin, and it's not showing up. I've restarted my computer and still nothing.

That's a Windows only file on that particular plugin so out of luck. And yes that's correct that .dll files don't run on OS X, but the VST format runs provided a OS X specific VST is coded.

There were newer workarounds to actually get a .dll VST file running on OS X I saw recently. I don't know how successful people were with it though.

It works with virtual machines and Wine so it would be high latency ~28ms was one quoted number, so I wouldn't really see it as useful even if it worked.
