What are you using...S/PDIF or 1/4" outs

So far I have been 100% S/PDIF from my Ren to my Fast Track. Just wondering how everyone else records.

I sample only through the spdif. I only sampled once or twice through the analog inputs on the ren. I monitor/listen to the stuff I'm making out of the analog outs of the Ren, but If I'm going to record anything from it, 7/10 times I got through the spdif out. Sometimes I may go through the Analog outs, just to run it through something else before I record it elsewhere.

Interesting...I think my S/PDIF Out is bad on my Fast Track because whenever I try to use it...it **** my whole setup up.

That brings me to a thing i was wondering about:

I use the Ren as my main audio interface. Could i route the analog outs to the analog ins on the Ren, play a beat in the mpc and record the analog signal in a daw (which the mpc is the audio interface for) to get the sound of the analog outs?

If you are coming from a small Rane 2 ch DJ mixer, what cord should I use to record samples from vinyl? Meaning, my outs from the Rane, into the S/PDIF?
