Does your Ren works fine with new macbook pro w/ Usb 3.0 ??

but it seems that there some problems with the last series of mbp ...
so, Does your Ren works fine with new macbook pro w/ Usb 3.0 ??

There is a known issue with Audio and USB 3.0 on both MACs and PC for a wide range of audio devices out there; Not just the MPC REN.

I'm about to test it out. I'll let ya know. Just got my MacBook Pro 15" redone with a SSD and 16 gigs of RAM.

Ok, ran into my 1st problem with the new MacBook. The MPC will not unlock, so I can't even test it for more than 60 seconds before hearing the demo white noise.

Got the system up and running on my Mac Pro 15".

No clicks or pops with my system running 1.3 on the USB 3.0 ports.

I have tested the REN sound card and the internal MAC sound card.

I do have an 256 Gig SSD as my main drive and 16 Gigs of RAM. Don't know if that makes any difference but I thought that I would mention it.

My sample library is on a USB 3.0 drive plugged into the 2nd port with an Axiom Pro 49 keyboard plugged into the REN.

Running OS X 10.8.2 (12C3103)

Been up and running for 6 hours now without any issues.

I'm on a mid 2012 i7 MBP w/ SSD.
I'm having MASSIVE noise/crackle issues and I'm not even using a REN, I'm on a Studio using the internal minijack output.
Kind of ironic seeing the error message saying "The software will produce silence until you re-attach the hardware" when it actually does produce quite a burst of noise as soon as I open up the MPC software...

Will try using a Usb 2.0 hub to see if it helps to force the ports down to usb 2.o speed.

This is interesting so I went into the system profile to see whats on the USB bus.

Appears the Facetime Camera, Keyboard, and Bluetooth Controllers are all on the High Speed USB bus, there could be some driver conflicts possibly getting in the way.

My USB 3.0 Controller Driver is AppleUSBHCI and the PCI Revision Number is 0x004 with a vendor ID of 0x8086

My Mac was purchased in February and built in January, I wonder if they changed some hardware over the last 6 months to help with compatibility issues with USB 3.0.

I run Pro Tools 10, BFD2, Adobe Premere, Adobe Audition, and MPC without any issues.

Only time will tell if something develops, but so far things ran well last night. About to get to work on a few more things with the MPC now, so we will see if any issues develop.

A few more days of making music with no issues. Something has changed as a lot of people have had issues. I have had no issues thus far.

Ok, so I tried using a 2.0 powered hub - still a lot of noise if I'm using the built in line/headphone minijack out. The noise appears even if I just play a file in Quicktime, so it's not limited to MPC software.
Tried using a firewire interface and this eliminates the noise.
Anyone contacted Apple? - can't seem to find anything useful on their support forum...

My machine has the same specs as the ones mentioned above by Smoothbassman even though I bought it back in November. Also running 10.8.2 (12C3012)

I just recieved my new laptop with 3 USB 3.0 ports.I heard about the probs before hand so i kept the Ren on the regular USB port.Im interested in testing it out on the 3.0 port.Everything i plugged into it worked fine so far.

Your Mac is still under warranty. I would make a genius bar appointment and take your hardware in and let them see whats going on. There has to be some issues with the hardware, or some driver conflicts.

I don't know if that has anything to do with the issues you are having though.

My current setup is my MPC hooked to the USB 3.0 ports and a WD USB 3.0 hard drive hooked to the other port. Everything else is daisy chained off the MPC USB ports.
