Smart options like this, are a nice find..in 1.3

1.3 allows for the "Hitting pads select events" - i like this one, while programming tracks, being able to mute in such a way like Bpm or Geist allows is a smart option, thanks to whoever thought of that one.

This has always been a feature. They just added a toggle for it in 1.3.

Nice, completely missed this then, I was under the impression I couldn't mute events on the gui before in earlier releases.. nice one either way.

what do you use this for? I dont really find myself hitting pads for seleting events. Except when I want to delete events from a sequence I can select the pads I want to delete. What is different in 1.3? Is this what they mean by hitting pads selects event?

For example, if you realize your hihat pattern is super loose and you want to tighten it up a bit. You hit the pad of the hihat, then T.C.

Like if you have a pattern on a track using multiple pads, but you only wanna quantize/nudge/shift one of the pads, pressing that pad will highlight all the notes on the track for that pad. Then you can quantize from the hardware or nudge from your computer with the left/right arrows or transpose with the up/down arrow.
