Tempo Change in a Sequence question.

Does anyone know where is the Tempo change window or a similar feature on the MPC Renaissance where you can change the tempo at any given location within the within the the sequence?

The tempo change window let you insert the tempo change in anywhere you wanted within the sequence via the Location, Change % ,and Tempo in which you want the tempo change to occur.

On the MPC 4000 you could highlight the tempo on the main menu and press window. then the Tempo change widow would appear. I don't see any reference to this in the MPC Renaissance manual.

have you tried to alter the tempo while in overdub to see if it records it? then look for the atomation?

Yeah I thought I could record the changes to the tempo via automation in track/program mix as a work around but the mpc ren didn't record the changes to the Tempo.

At the moment, Automations are not 100% working, lot of confusion using it, It´s quantified, and laborious to edit. I have asked for delete/copy , editing tools ( Exp. lin. Log. Curves, velocity limiter, velocity compression etc... ) Must Wait to have significant improvements.

As an exemple, when we record a 16 level performance, an Automation track "modifier" appears but no name to know what it does ( Attack ? Decay ? Tune ? etc... ) It´s shown on the little "velocity like" red lines. Need more visuals indications. You can have 3-4 Automation tracks called "Modifier"...

We Must put the tempo automation on a feature request. Maybe It´s already planned or tested. Let´s see in 1.5.

I'm sure the tempo Changes are restricted to bars and you have to copy said sequence bar and adjust the tempo accordingly and put it back via song mode or some other crafty time consuming way.

Wanted to do a gradual tempo decrease inside a sequence that goes down by 15 bpm or so.
Would be super arduous – and almost impossible – to do it by 1-bar sequences; e.g., if i have a sound i want to loop thru 16 bars while the tempo decreases....so if i copied seqs, it'd mean some sounds would re-start.

Until they add this feature I believe that, as a workaround, you can use the Ren in VST mode and simply do your tempo changes within your Daw.
