Cant work out how to midi note nudge. I recall HF pointing me in the right direction a while back but I was only using the demo then and didn't have the controller to do this.

Ideally I want to be able to move a note back or forwards using the + - key or the dial.
1. Samples
2. ticks
3. Milliseconds
4. Beat (ie 1/16ths etc)

I know it doesn't do all of those - but I hope it does it in samples at the very minimum.
essential for groove construction!

Also, I thought there would be a big red button that said
Make Me A Hit Record
and then you simply dial in what chart position, amount of sales, global or regional hit etc. Where is that button? :smoker:

It's simple, but can't be done from the controller, well sort of. Simply highlight the notes you want to nudge and press the L/R arrow keys to nudge. It nudges according to the TC setting. Turning TC off nudges by ticks.

If you wanna nudge from the hardware, you have a to use a round-about method. Highlight the notes you want, go into the TC menu, set it to SELECTED and use the shift feature, and press do it. I think it shifts by ticks. The shift resolution is much more finer than it is in my 2500 and XL. Just be careful you do screw up any swing you had on these notes by applying different swing settings than were already on the notes! 8)

Either way you do it, the sequencer doesn't have to be stopped!
