Calling Out MPC Vets

im new to the MPC hardware ...

been making beats for about 8 years .. using FL studio then NI Maschine (for about a year)

and now i have the MPC Ren

.. i could use some tips and tricks

if anyone has skype or ovoo .. my account name is "ReeseG14" on both

add me .. ill be making beats all day probably ..

im a fast learner so it wont be a headache .. yea i could read and watch the tutorial videos .. but i learn faster when im dealing with someone on a one-one basis '

..ps.. these are some of my beats

Construction:

sequences are broken into sections of the song, intro, verse, chorus, break, etc.

tracks are used to fill in those sequences... track 1 - kick, track 2- snare, track 3- hats, etc.



load your samples and get to know your equipment

Read these forums when you hit a wall; read up + gain knowledge = moving forward

ReeseG14, I'm sure you'll pick up the MPC no problem at all. You said FL and Maschine are your background. You've probably already realized the Pattern/Song mode foundation of FL is largely the same in an MPC environment. And you're probably also finding an MPC OS a bit quicker at doing some things that Maschine has it's own style of implementation.

But as everyone else noted, you clearly already know how to make fire beats so it shouldn't be too painful.
