Static noise when sampling from iPad?

hi,

has anyone noticed this?
When i plug my iPad in to back of ren into phono in i get this static noise through back trough my speakers?
is my unit faulty????
i have line selected on back really strange it does not always happen?

Did you read what you wrote? You connected the iPad (a line level device) into PHONO. No, you don't connect anything into PHONO but a turntable. Try the main inputs.

The same also happens when i plug it into mic at line level???

Yes, I have the same issue as well!

Did you read what you wrote? You connected the iPad (a line level device) into PHONO. No, you don't connect anything into PHONO but a turntable. Try the main inputs.

It's a switchable input, between phono and line level!
