No sound

Just bought an MPC studio. Installed all the software and when I test samples I get no sound. Went through the manual and everything should be setup properly with the input/output and whatnot.

Any idea?

1. Are you using a PC or Mac?

2. What OS are you using?

3. What sound card are you using? Ensure it is installed correctly.

4. Close all other apps on your computer

5. Ensure the Studio is registered.

6. Ensure you audio interface is selected in the MPC software Audio Preferences

7. Connect headphones or monitors to your audio interface

8. Load a drum kit. Names of the sounds will appear on the pads in the software. Strike the pads

Mac OSX V 10.7.5. I have the audio interface selected. Even when i just double click a sample I don't get any sound.

Double clicking a sample only loads it. Drag-n-drop the sample to a pad then strike that respective pad.

When i drag and drop a sample to a pad it doesn't go on. The pad just stays blank.

What kind of file is your sample??? mp3, wav etc...and SR and bits is it??
Is the studio on when you star the soft?? did you tryied to turn off and on with the sw opened??

wav files that came withe the studio. I've tried it with the MPC on and off yeah

If that is the case..ensure the track is a MPC Drum track.

Also, have you viewed all the MPC University Videos? If not, you should do so ASAP.

Sometimes my studio gets no responsive...I used to switch it off, wait for the "your mpc is not conected" and turn it on again-that's why I was asking...
another q...when you hit the TEST button in the interface options inside the Prferences...do you hear any sound??
Maybe my qs look silly but is only a way to discard things and try to help you out...

Yeah when I hit test I get no sound either

As written above...this is an indication that you don't have an MPC Program assigned to a track or you are trying to load the sample library specifically designed for the MPC Expansion instruments. This is protected content that will not load to pads.

This indicates your sound card is not installed properly, not selected as an MPC Studio audio device or is not connected to monitors.

so there you have it...something is odd with your interface...
switch to the built in output...put a pair of headphones to the mac jack and try without interface...
