Agreed. It's now 2018 (soon to be 2019) and the MPC Software has now made it to 2.0 (or 2.2) and has been implemented in the new MPC X and MPC Live standalone hardware units. Yet, there's still no pitch or mod envelope!!! as much as I like the featureset of the MPC X / Live, this is a major deal breaker. The MPC4k, and the JJOS2XL MPC2500/MPC1000 have a pitch envelope. So Akai, Why can't the MPC 2.0 software, MPC X, and MPC Live have a pitch or modulation envelope (assignable to pitch)?

I really hope Akai adds this feature soon.
