AKAI RANDOMLY ASKING TO UNLOCK

Has anyone else had this problem with the ren, its happened twice to me now..

ive just been working on a Cubase project using the ren too, I just came out of it and then went back into it and the ren says I have to unlock it and until I do its in demo mode. this unit is unlocked already.... very annoying having to do this again.

why does it do this? does anyone else have this ?

When you go into the 'About MPC' page, does the software say it is registered to you in the lower left corner of this page?

Hi its not saying registered yet I have registered it and have used it almost everyday since its release. lol

ive not gone to unlock it from turning the item on and when inputting details its not letting me enter my phone number in so it wont let me pass that screen..

the ren is really starting to get on my tits, ive been making music for 25 years now and since ive been using this all I have been doing is waisting 55% of my time working out ways of getting round bugs or functions that are not there..

ive gone to register the product on the internet but cannot find were to do this, do you know where it is?

time is ticking before I loose my tempter with this machine.

ok I have fount the web register so will try that now.

The register link I have found is only for the usa, im in the uk so cannot do this.

anyone have a link to some place I can register this dam lump of shit.

not to be funny..... but have you tried contacting akai's official site to ask for help on this?

ive not no not yet, trying to go this route first as I don't have much time, I produce for a living and have a project on the go with timescales which makes me more frustrated especially as everything was registered already and working.

Are you on Mac or PC?

Im on windows 7 pc.

Ah, I know a way to possibly debug this on a Mac, but I'm not familiar with the way the licensing information is stored on a PC.

Did you change anything recently? Do you have a system backup from before it all went wrong? If it's already registered and activated, then the old backup should restore the correct licensing file (I assume it's in the registry somewhere).

BTW, did you use this page? There's no mention of any USA only restrictions here.

This is simple. If the 'About MPC' page doesn't say registered....it's not registered.

ANY IDEA WHAT IT MEANS WHEN IT SAYS SOFTWARE ID ?

I know what your saying but its been registered from day one when they were released, ive been using it all the time, all of a sudden it just popped up when i tried to load a project.
