Ok, so I have an Apollo Quad as my main interface but I have my MPC Ren connected to it. when I try to sample directly from my turntable there's no signal being detected. I have a DJ Preart Phono Amp to help with that process, need help soon!

You must select the Ren as your audio device in order to sample it's inputs. If your Apollo is set as your audio device, you must connect the turntable and mixer to your Apollo.

Ok, I have a Numark TT-500 turntable and a DJ Preart Phono Amplifier, do you think you can assist in what connections, and cables should be used for this process?

1. Connect your Turntable directly to the phono inputs (RCA cables) on the back of the MPC Ren. Select Phono option in the back and top of the MPC Ren.

or

2. Connect your turntable to your mixer and the output of your mixer to the phono inputs (RCA cables) on the back of the MPC Ren. Select Line option in the back and top of the MPC Ren. You can also connect 1/4" outputs of your mixer, if applicable, to the !/4"/XLR inputs in the back of the Ren. Ensure Phantom power is off since you are not using a mic.

Note that you must have the Ren as the selected audio device in the MPC Preferences. When recording your turntable, ensure that you set the Ren's Direct Mon knob to Input.

But if you want to use the Apollo interface as your main audio device, its still the same. You would connect the 1/4" outputs of your turntable mixer to a 1/4" input in the Apollo. Then in MPC Audio Preferences, ensure the Apollo input that you are using is active (checked).
