Seq Edit?

In my old 1000 I could sequence two diff 8 bars for example and a 4 bar intro or breakdown whatever then go to sequence edit and it would allow me to choose which ones i want where and how many copies

In the Ren I can only manage to glue one sequence to another am I missing something?

Sounds like you are talking about Song Mode. The Ren/Studio has this.
