get your shit together akai

I AM SO SICK (an understatement honestly) OF THIS NOISE COMING FROM MY SAMPLES. THIS SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN.

This is software only, too. Not hardware, because I use the Ren as an audio interface in Logic, and it sounds just fine, never messes up like this.

I made a thread about it a while back "annoying sampling issue" or something along those lines.

Anyway, it's a really difficult noise to explain to be honest. The only way I can really tell you is by showing you this sample:

It happens when you're using two different audio interfaces I think. Stopped happening to me once I set both interfaces (in/out) to the ren.

Whack tho, I feel your pain ... That used to annoy me so much when I was trying to sample live bass

I feel my statement is made a bit more bold this way. I knew that the thread existed.

EDIT: Akai will eventually take note of this issue, and try to fix it.

Certain things I do with the MPC require different ins and outs...

It's too bad we don't get small updates from Akai.. Big fixes etc. I understand adding new features and doing extensive testing (lol) before they drop... But why not just update the ren as bugs get fixed like every other music software?

Once again, the Ren is the most expensive and also most frustrating thing I have!! Bad look akai!!!

I still have faith... But 1.4 better hold up especially considering the wait and the lack of any bugs being fixed in the mean-time

This isn't worth much, but make sure you're using the correct power adapter.
I have several electrical devices at home and I recall using the wrong adapter once which caused some really odd audio crappiness.

That's what I remember from the other thread - and I've had no problems since I switched.

To the OP - I'm not defending akai, I agree with you and feel your pain man.

You should see if using one interface fixes it though - even tho it doesn't work for all your needs it'd be good to get another confirmation about the cause of the problem

That issue has been reported. Only using one audio interface is the solution for now. In OSX, you can set up Aggregate devices for 3rd party audio devices which solves the issue but you can't set the Ren's audio device as an Aggregate device (feature request submitted).
