Does AKAI read what we write on about the MPC Renn & Studio?
Or are they basing their updates & solutions off of what they get off their official website support? (people who actually type in their serial # to send a query)

I think it is most useful to post here, for assistance/discussion/feedback/etc. with the maximum number of other users, and also to the Akai community forums, for direct contact and discussion of problems and feature requests with an Akai support employee...

Yes Akai have publicly stated that they pick up feedback/bugs/features from these forums.

Several developers periodically read threads in this forum. Several beta testers (Akai employees and outside testers) also frequent this forum.

I guess-ti-mate....greater than 95% of the discussions presented here (feedback, bugs, features) have been submitted to those that have a direct role in advancing MPC software development.

Many of 1.4's most standout features come from this very forum; AD envelope, Double Tap to Shift, Q-Link Zoom/Scroll in Sample Edit, and auto-save, on down to some of the more subtle features like the Scroll bar on right side of the hardware screen in sample browser.

Their AD envelopes modulations are kinda funky... it's almost like a "preset" AD envelop. Can't really customize it. Not really liking the attack curve.

Can you be more specific or provide some examples? The AD envelopes should be pretty close if not indentical to hardware MPCs.

i don't know if its just the display of the attack line; however, the attack line stays curved and it also sounds curved. almost as if it's a modulated attack line. is there a way to straighten it?

i couldn't find a way to compress my synth pad. i have a compressor for the pad, but i couldn't find a way to have my kick signal linked to it. so I used the attack curve to fake as a compressor for now.. but it seems like its curved.

1. Are you saying it is different than a hardware MPC? Which model?

2. Are you willing to post a video to explain what you are referring to?
