I am having an issue with the mute buttons on the plugin mixers in Track Mix. I accidentally muted the plugins while recording in a couple of my sequences and can't find away to undo that other then trying to unmute the plugin mixer as quickly as possible during recording. The mutes don't show in the velocity automation data for the tracks which I see has been discussed when others had problem getting rid of the automation. The problem is, on the Plugin Consoles in Track Mix, while the region that is muted is shown as a red block in the view, it is completely dead to any select tool, erase tool, or pencil tool. The tools work on individual tracks, but the mute is tied to automation data on the plugin console in Track mix.
Another issue is two of my sequences now have a permanent mute on one of the plugins that I can't get rid of. I can unmute the sequence while recording but then when I go back to song mode it is muted again. The two muted sequences are side by side in song mode. What is weirder is when I exit song mode to go back to the sequencer to fix this, the sequencer will automatically go from the one problem sequence to the next one that also has the mute problem, but then if I choose other sequences they loop continuously like they should. Stranger still, if after looping the other sequences, I go the the problem sequences they loop like they should with no mute issue. So, feeling hopeful, I go back to Song mode where once again the two problem sequences have mutes applied on the piano track.
All in all I love the Ren, Its sequencer engine and timing give me something that none of my other software gives me (Sonar 8.5 and X2 (X2 is buggy too,) Maschine and Reason.) I love how easy it is to sequence in it. Still weird issues like these are frustrating. Also last night, randomly all my plugins (The Bank) freaked out and reset to one sound. Luckily I constantly do save as with incremental project numbers, just incase. I use other plugins as well, but decided to try out 64bit in the box before I complicate things with Omnisphere and the like.
