MPC track fx inserts and logic fx inserts problem

When making beats with my MPC Studio I am running the software in standalone mode then track out and mix/master in Logic Pro 9. When composing in the MPC software I was still able to put FX on the track inserts in AU that were from Apple's software Logic. Ever since I updated the software of the MPC, a few of the Apple FX inserts were no longer available to insert such as SpaceDesigner Reverb and Channel EQ. Is there a way to get the MPC software to recognize these Apple programs again? I am also curious if an alternative solution would be running the MPC inside of Logic as a plugin. Would I then be able to put the Apple Channel EQ and SpaceDesigner Reverb on the tracks running in the MPC plugin?
