What EQ do you use in the Ren?

Do you use akai's EQ plugins or do you use some other plug ins for EQ? If so, name them and describe how well they work in the mpc software.

TB Equalizer from Toneboosters works great and has a built in spectrum analyzer. It's part of the track pack which is around $30

You have to keep in mind that most all digital equalizers are the same, you can null one with the other (except in the case that they are deliberately colored, or dynamic).

What you are paying for with an EQ is the interface, thats why I'd rather not pay as much and get a bunch of other cool plugins on top of it.

You can demo the pack, it's fully functional except that your settings don't get saved with the song.

If you want to go with the best all in one tracking/mastering EQ, this is probably arguably the best software EQ in existence.

for cleaning and low & high cut i use the reaper eq it has super low cpu and it is very flexible...or reafir which is also included in the free reaper plug ins suit...

i bought during the summer sales the passive active eq and the the trident a-range eq...they are greate for boosting...

all good recommendations here.

I like the Softube stuff mentioned above as well.
But one of my favorite go to EQ's is the MAAG EQ4 plugin.
And also the Waves SSL EQ.

Both are great for adding color and sculpting tone with drums.

To get a little more surgical, the Fab Filter is dope, so is the DMG stuff,
But dont sleep on Waves HEQ and the Sonnox EQ. Both are EQually dope.
Pun intended.. ugh lol

sonnox can be especially musical with tuning or matching bass tones.
Try it.

I use izotope alloy2 and ozone 5.

I recommend them.

Only acquired this earlier in the week and it is undoubtedly the very best vst eq in existence.
