MPC REN/ Logic Pro X

I make hip hop betas! My Question is: Is Logic pro X suitable to mixing and mastering my songs? Or another software? Which software is from the quality the best for mixing and mastering? I dont know, which software should i buy

Who knows what the best software for you is.

Logic, Pro Tools, Reason, Ableton and many more all have their legions of protractors and detractors. They all share the same basics and they all have their own little functions and features that others do not.

I would like Logic because of the midi template function which, to the best of my knowledge, the others don't have.

Reaper is dope for just mixing/mastering and, from what I've read, there's a shit load of excellent plugs available for Reaper users and it's cheap. Real cheap.

I would also try Studio One. It has an amazing browser and a very nice Zoom.

I think Logic has every mixing and mastering tool one can possibly need. Don't be fooled by the economical price. There's some engineers that prefer mastering in Logic than pro tools.

I think it's less of which Daw would be best, because they are all 64 bit which means there will be less chance of audible errors when your Daw is making calculations from the VSTs you use as well as the panning/volume movements. I think what is more important is the plugins that you use. For mixing you want a couple of EQs and compressors that are transparent sounding and a couple that has some character in its sound, and a couple other plugins that add depth and character (reverb with a smooth tail, a decent delay, a decent distortion plugin to add harmonics/and or character). For mastering you want a linear phase EQ and a good limiter/maximizer. With that being said I think all Daws nowadays have all of that.

There's a few mastering in Logic YouTube videos , pretty sure there some beatmaking and mixing in Logic videos as well, so you can get an idea of what plugins there are in Logic.

MPC Already Running! You already have MPC running on this computer.
You can only run once instance of MPC at a time.

What should i do?

Dont Launch the MPC software. Let Logic do it by by going to your channel strip and then selectiing AU Instruments/AKAI/MPC/Stereo or Multi output.

Yeahhh it worked! But now i have Latency Problem! its too slow. And how can i set my Transport control in Logic pro x ?

I'm not in front of my setup to reproduce the issue, but I would start by going to Logic preferences and set Plug in latency compensation to all.

For the transport controls go to Key Commands/global assignments/highlight Record, play, FF, Rewind individually...and I forgot what the play start is called in Logic..but after highlighting them click Learn new assignment and hit the corresponding key on the Ren.

I don't use Logic but in Reaper the input monitor for the track that the Ren is on has to be active, maybe you're having the same problem.

So I peeped this whole YouTube video. Don't even waste your time trying to do it that way. You can make your beat, or the framework of your beat in the MPC software first.

When you're done go to the File Menu/Export/As Audio Mixdown.
Then select Seperate tracks. Select file format and create a folder for the stems and save.

Then Launch Logic and simply drag the audio files into Logic. Logic will create the audio tracks for the stems and you're in business. Then you could use all of the Logic plugins to try and take your beat to the next level.
