Now, as of 1.4
the first row of qlinks adjusts your sample start,
the second row adjust your sample end
and I believe the 3rd row now adjust the loop start?
I believe they pulled a vice versa on the second and third row.
anyways, I'm wondering why they changed it, I got used to the layout they had previously and now that they changed it I find myself reaching for the wrong qlink in the wrong row.
Did they really need to change this? I can see how some people might find it more practical but I honestly got used to the way it was before and now it's like I have to get familiar with it all over again. I feel like they fixed something that wasnt broken and now I am constantly twisting the wrong qlinks and its slowing down my chopping process after I had already became familiar with the previous layout and work flow.
Anyone else find this annoying? Either change it back to how it was, or keep it AND stop changing the layout of the buttons in the future. Dont fix something thats not broken.
They messed with an already solid implementation and just made it confusing by changing it , but when it comes to other simple features like selecting all, multiple, or current pads from hardware they dont even add some of these top requested features. Instead of taking steps backwards and changing features that already work fine and probably made worse in this case, can we please take steps forward and add useful new features instead.
Why they did that with the qlinks blows my mind. They took something they actually had working really well and just took a complete backward step by changing and re-programming the function and layout when it was fine to begin with. SMH
Whats your guys thoughts? Not a huge deal but just makes me think what Akai is thinking, what is their process for deciding what to add and what to take away and what to change. Especially with this new mpc software in its infancy if something not broken then dont fix it.
