mpc studio external sync to logic

I have tried this several times with no luck.
I am setting logic midi out to mpc studio virtual, then mpc to receive midi clock and setting it as slave, and setting program to midi

but mpc will not start, so it cankeep time for drum rolls and such...

anyone know what to do?

You cannot. Currently (if I'm not mistaken), the Ren/ Studio software will not slave. This issue is being discussed as we speak, in several different threads.

Thanks, why would it have midi clock sync and slave options in the software?

Would it help if I ised a physical midi cable?

Those options are for slaving another piece of hardware or DAW to the Ren's sequencer, i.e., Ren is the master and whatever else is the slave. Using an external MIDI cable will change nothing. PRAYERFULLY, this woeful oversight will be corrected soon, as many of us have requested this option.
