Wait until you see it. Your response..."well it should have had that when it shipped." All while Ren/Studio users rejoice. :smoker:

Sounds like a cult to me. If you are switching on the instrument for the first time, you will be prompted to move to Guyana.

Cult? No i just think Ren/studio users are very excited bc they enjoy their mpc and cant wait for the next update bc all the updates so far have brought significant improvemnets. It's by now it's obvious that the best new features are soon on the way. Also, I think any 1 selling a Ren now, its like trading a good player off their team right before they are going to have a breakout season.

This is the Maschine Cult at its best....

Dude comparing Maschine MK2 with the Ren. I stopped watching when he showed how Maschine has colored pads that you can dedicate for kicks, snares, etc. He showed that the Ren's pad lights are just for showing note velocity. :WTF: The Ren has the same capability...and had the multi-colored pads before Maschine had them.

I keep looking at studio/ren... I know it's only a matter of time, especially since I read update changed and see them moving along. Just still uncertain which one I may go with when that time comes... portability or built in sound interface... decisions

I think you may have more fun on the Ren if you workflow will include utilizing the Q-links. They are touch sensitive and much easier to use that the Studio's knobs. The Ren's audio interface isn't even a factor when I made my decision which one would be my go to piece.

Those whom continue to delay may soon lose the window. Heed me--MPC Ren or Studio at once!

I have 5k for few yrs now and hardly use all the Qlinks to be honest. I see new Rens on ebay for 850, free shipping so may go that route. I thinking of selling the upgraded 5k and putting that toward a Ren, or getting Studio and a new laptop so I can be mobile. I see 5k still has fairly good market online.

I been hardware cat since the floppy disk/zip/jazz drive days but as an IT guy I find myself connecting the 5k to pc a lot and chopping and editing sounds on the PC (just prefer the screen real estate over mpc LCD)

I imagine I'd be doing much of the workflow on PC and the pads for tapping out the beats.

I told my wife it is inevitable that I scoop up one or the other since I alrdy do hardware/software workflow now
