how to bounce out the submix?

easy all , iv not been using my studio much lately just because i cant stand the crashes and what not but iv been playin around with it today and because the way each sequence has its own mixer iv started applying eq and effects to the programe pads so that i dont have to copy each sequence , when i come to bounce the stems out theres no submix ? is there something i have to check or anything?

It doesn't export each pad as a seprate stem.. Only tracks.... Wonder if they add this in a update... Will be very helpfull...

this just seems stupid to me , why are you not able to rout a pad to a channel in the mixer ... its heart breakin coz i really like the work flow and hands on feel of the mpc but the software is just lacking so much its not competing with whats available

All my beats are one long sequence, cause of similar issues. Hopefully they add a global mixer option

I know other mpcs are like this too... But now that vsts are a factor they shoulda been thinking of how annoying it can be. If they even make beats.. But based on all the videos, interviews Eetc it doesn't seem like any of those cats actually make music... So I guess I'm not surprised about some of these small (annoyin) workflow problems

they aint even small work flow problems , as a plugin it dont integrate with any daw nicely therefor you are restricted to the software unless you make the hole beat without any effects and bounce the stems out .. and yea like you said i know mpc in the past worked like this but a global mixer just makes sense now. i find myself making a 8 bar loop then just closing the thing because everything is long in it or work with "work arounds"

Would you prefer more virtual outputs (like 64 mono / 32 stereo)

I think i'd prefer the Virtual outs.. As i like mixing in my linear daw...

at the moment i would prefer global mixer , only because it dosnt seam to work great with logic .. but if they could make it intergrate with daws better i would rather the outputs as the reason i brought it was to run it inside logic

i have logic pro but dont use it .. whats the issues with logic? no transport control? i use reaper ..

you can asign the transport but theres no over dub , it all becomes a long process which takes away from the hole mpc work flow i just wish it had the drag and drop midi like maschine or the option to record the midi to the logic sequencer.. does it work nice with reaper?

Yes global mixer but we should have more virtual outputs as well. I truly believe we need them both. Call me greedy or whatever but I would use both functions and would like to have the option for either or. I think both are essential.

To bounce the submix, simply solo it and bounce the main stereo output! Done!

I totally agree. The workflow inside Logic keeps me not wanting to use it. Thats why Im really hoping we get audio tracks in the next Ren update. Id prefer to just use the Ren standalone and track guitars, and other live instruments right inside. Using it as a plugin just seems so non intuitive.

Yes.. I'm using it kinda of differently...

I've set it up to not sequence in mpc at all.. Just use the ren as a sampler...

So the ren controls transport of reaper

Each pgm i set up in mpc has virtual outs assigned into reaper tracks...
(kicks all to one track Snares to one track chop pgm/track to one track etc because of limited vitual outs)

then i actually record the audio pass through in reaper.. Not midi.. ( when i hit pads audio is recorded in reaper as loops )

So i track everything as audio loops rather than midi... I feel i have more control this way.. And flexibility in terms of taking it to another studio.. Bypassing the drag and drop audio shit.. And stemming out.. All in one process...
And then works nicely along with guitar or bass or audio track type samples..

REaper has a nice take way of recording when looping.. when you stop recording(and not neccesarily stop playing back) i can then listen/view and switch on the fly each take for that last recording for a particular clip on that track..

I more an advocate of the ren being a deeper sampler than it being the all in one..
Imo its better a great sampler/chopper and midi controller.. than trynin to compete with the daws which it can intergrate with..
