Too many things in one place.WHO HERE AGREE'S?????? Reply with your answer below.

I agree with Tutor on this one... It doesn't use the same software but it's still an akai midi controller for their proprietary software, and acording to screenshots, looks very simlar, just with 'entry level' limitations

Still may get my 10 yr old an element for his 11th Bday on Halloween, or give him my studio and get myself a ren lol

Reality is, it's related to Ren software just as much as jjos 1k-2k5.

It shares the same code base, per pete. Also, when you see the software what's the first thing that comes to mind, besides failed fly with no wings, Ren software.

The MPC Essentials software is nearly identical to the MPC Software. Any useful tips you can provide or issues you run into will most likely be applied to both.

And since the Ren/Studio controller also operates the Essential software...this is a logical place to keep the Element/Essentials.

Just my two cent....as if anyone will listen.

Most of the changes are cosmetic in the software GUI. Essentials shows up almost exactly as the MPC Software of Ren/Studio's LCD.

It doesn't warrant even existing as a product in the first place since the bugs aren't even worked out of the REN/Studio software.
