I have finally gotten the new firmware to update correctly. I tried it several times on my windows 7 computer but it did not work, so I connected it to my mac computer and it updated on the first try, there must be some type of compatibility issue with windows (or maybe it's just my computer). Hopefully, for the windows only users sake, Akai corrects that pretty quickly.
