Hi guys im new here so go easy. I used to use my mpc 1000 and track each track seperatly one by one which was time consuming. I bought a ren this week so im learning the ropes. A friend of mine has a ren also and he can record his tracks from it into seperate tracks in logic. Is there a way i could do this in abelton 9?

I know i could export each track and drag it in but i like to record my mutes sometimes so it wouldnt be ideal.

I worked it out. Open up an instance of thr mpc vst in ableton. Then create as many audio teacks you need. Set the monitor to "in" and audio from "mpc" beneath that select for instance "3/4 mpc" go back to the vst and go to the track mixer. Find the corresponding track you want to record and change the "out" to match (3/4) . Do the same for the next track but change it to 5/6 on the ableton input and 5/6 on the mpc out.

Only gripe is the fact there are only 8 outputs i need way more
