Well I have OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) installed

upon completion of the upgrade, it came up with some type of error about the ext found in the library not being registered and to contact the manufacturer. I loaded a song, seemed to play back fine, but just a word to the wise.... Be Cautious!

Mine didn't playback fine at all. As a matter of fact, apparently the MPC Renaissance audio interface isn't compatible with Mavericks. I'm not getting ANY audio through my Ren. In other words, everything is playing through my MacBook Pro or iMac speakers ONLY... And that's weak as Hell!

UPDATE - So audio plays through my Renaissance just fine on the following programs: Logic Pro X, Waveburner, Serato & MPC.

Anything coming from iTunes, played from my Mac Folders or via Safari (i.e. YouTube) goes straight to the Mac's speakers. Not sure why they did this but it's whack like crack.

Why don't you just wait until there's an official Mavericks compatible version? :hmmm:

chances are they won't work hard on it, until they hear about enough issues with it, or else, they would have released a version that's compatible with Mavericks before or when Mavericks came out....

This? This just isn't true and/or always the case. You have no clue if they had a build available that they could perform a final test/revision/build for this. Pro Tools, Cubase, etc. are all advising not to upgrade until they have verified the final build.

ummm yeah, I do know it is true, there have been 2 golden masters out within the past few weeks. (Oct 3rd was build #13A598 and Oct 20th saw build #13A603 released to developers) Since Akai is a Mac App developer, that gave them plenty of time to beta test and make changes, or if they needed more time to at least to put out an advisory to users NOT to update yet if there were problems :)

Indeed. I don't think Apple and Akai have a good relationship, look at the Fly, had they been working together, Akai would've been prepared.
