I cannot get my Mpc Ren to work as an audio interface and believe its due to the fact that the update to the firmware will not download. Any tips or links to firmware update that will work?

If it is Mac OS X Mavericks, then it will probably not work for computer system sounds until Akai update it.
If not Mavericks, you need to supply more detail about what computer OS you are using.
If not working as an audio interface in a particular DAW, is it set to be the audio interface in the DAW settings?
