Q Link Trigger Uses

I've been playing with the q links on my Ren and setting up routing for programs and noticed the 'Q Link Trigger' button underneath.

Does anyone know what it does?

Is it one of those features for a future update?

Also searched in the manual and can't find anything on it...

Either I'm being incredibly obtuse or something is yet to be done with that button/feature

page 5 in the manual... page 8 in the quick start guide

"hold this button down, then touch one of the Q-LINK KNOBS to make that knob's parameter's value jump to its minimum or maximum (depending on the Trig parameter in the software). "
