Depends what type of aspect the tutorial covers and whether the focus is on the software or just the hardware. But the Essentials software is basically the same as the full MPC Software minus multiple sequencer tracks, track mixer etc, and of course the different colour scheme.
My
Sampling Laid Bare book for example focuses on programs and sample editing, so most of the tutorials within it can be adapted for the Essentials software with little effort (from the software perspective of course). Same goes with most Ren/Studio tutorials you would see on youtube.
Just watch out, check which version for MPC Software the tutorial is for. Most commercial tutorials (i.e. all the DVDs I've seen) were created for MPC Software
1.0 and a lot has changed since those dark days.
