Hi everyone,

I'm having some issues with my MPC element and essentials software.

I'm using essentials as a plugin in Logic X.

I've read the manual and still can't figure out how to make my drum beat start and end at specific bars.

Let's say I have a piano part from bar 1 to bar 32 in Logic X. I have programmed an 8 bar drum loop in MPC essentials and I want it to start on bar 16 in logic and end on bar 24.

How do I do this??? I can't find it anywhere!!

Also if I just recorded a 4 bar loop but wanted it to repeat from bar 16 to bar 32 in logic, how would I do this?

Also finally is there any way on making the grid in the essentials software smaller? It's currently a little too large to quickly navigate.

Thank you all in advance.

Hi,
I'm having the same issue. The way i do it is i export the beat as an Audio Mixdown in essentials and then loop it in Logic. there is probably a better way though. maybe creating multipal sequences.

Ye that's what I was thinking but it's not practical as I wanted to live with what I was programming and mix as I was going along.

There must be a way. The only thing I can think of is making a blank 16 bar sequence and putting it in the songs window.

I don't know the essentials software, but as far as I know there is only one track available per sequence. So creating a blank sequence and arrange it in song mode is one way. Or make a long track with nothing for the first 16 bars and then start playing your drums.

On the full software you would create an additional empty track in the same sequence as your drums.
