problem recording via phono input..

hey dudes, so my ren isnt picking up anything from my phono, but i can hear it through the front headphone jack of the mpc and also see the db meters above the 'mic in, phono in' switch....

im just attempting to sample off my turntable and i dont know wtf is goin on! the red and white rca's from the turntable are going into the phono in on the mpc, and again i can hear it- and it sounds great- through the front headphone jack on the mpc, but there is nothing being picked up on the mpc's screen................

i think im fukked. because even if i use my mixer, and record in through the line... the sound is still being picked up through the front headphone jack, and the db meters, but not the mpc screen....... oh man

check mpc pref ad make sure the ren is the audio interface for both output and input....

Also check and make sure it's sample a external instead of internal when in sample mode..

The ren is confusing... at first.. ..

You have the direct input mix knob on top, and the headphone/ submix at bottom too...

Plus making sure the inputs are physically selected in prefs..

Cubase is so fuking annoying with this same style issue in its vst connection layer...
