even added it to the shopping cart and yup $839, $764.39 (weird price) for blwmished... couldn't find it anywhere else though, still $999 at the other major sites

Always check in on the site every once and awhile to see how MPCs are going and lately been thinkin bout going back to an MPC since I never got into one after the 2000XL... seen this big announcement and now this, whats going on wit Akai

The Renaissance was dropped to $999 by Akai back in October...

Cheapest new Renaissance price on eBay at the moment seems to be $749, even Armens has them new at $799.

The price dropped on Musicians Friends page too...Not Just the Ren but the Studio too....Akai better not be dropping a new MPC!!!!

Ren prices in the US dropped several months ago, first ebay shops, now through all the major retailers. However, in the UK the Ren has actually increased in price on all the big box shifter sites (£749 up from £699). Only the MPC Studio has had a price drop in the UK (1/3 drop).

Plenty of Ren deals to be had on Ebay UK though.

yeah but those were B stock/refurbs and Akai is the manufacturer so they can sellem cheap, the re salers especially the big retailers have less profit margin.... its just $160 price drop is big
