Grid Edit Question

This seems basic, but I couldn't find it referenced in the manual. Say you have a 16-bar loop going, it's playing back while you're on the main screen, and you're watching the tall skinny line follow your little red pad hits as they play out on the grid in the sequence. Once I get past the the first 2-4 bars of my sequence, the grid doesn't follow the line as it goes off the screen to the right. In order to follow the line, I have to scroll sideways underneath the grid. How can I get the grid to follow the line as the sequence plays so I don't have to scroll along with it? There has to be a way to do this.

PS sorry for my elementary terminology. I'm new to music software in general.

Can you use the slider located above the project samples window to zoom in/out?

top right hand corner a little bit in from where it says mpc theres an U shaped arrow icon(page mode) click on it it should turn into a straight arrow I-> LOOKS A BIT LIKE THAT
thats called scroll mode
