how to sample records mpc element

Hey I was thinking about sampling some of my vinyl records into the mpc element through the sample record how do I do this. Thanks to anyone who knows how

yo mayne you should probably be a little more specific with your question like do you have a audio interface? what kind? are you using the mpc as a plugin or stand alone? mpc essentials right? mac or pc?

but to answer your question, if you do have an interface and are running essential standalone, you gotta go to edit, prefences, then audio and select ASIO then select your interface, then set the 'active input channels' to the input you have your turntable/mixer plugged into.... hope this helps
