Can't Import/Load Personal Sounds

I am having a serious problem. I'm using the REN and windows 7. I'm using version 1.6 software and I can't seem to load my own sound kits. I CAN load project files that I have saved from working on before and some of those projects if not all have been from me previously loading my personal sounds. Now today for some reason the sounds won't load into the samples section or onto the pads.

When i try to load them a box just flashes in the middle of the screen and little mpc appear on the task bar as if sounds are loading and then they just disappear. No sounds. I reverted back to version 1.5 and now I can't load my sound in there as well....

Anyone experience this or know how to solve it?
