MPC Element / Essentials / MPC Software 1.6

Knowing there's been at least one very similar thread on this topic I am still confused regarding the following: despite the limitations of Essentials software (1 track etc) I was under the impression that Essentials and Studio/Ren' software updated in parallel
When I launch Essentials a prompt appears alerting that 'new software (1.6) is available' .. But when I launch the 1.6 update package I get a prompt stating that I already have the latest software installed (with the option to re-install) - though I remain sub 1.6
My question is: does Element/Essentials update to 1.6 and if so am I missing how to do so? with thanks in advance

ok - all these questions answered with a little help from akai tech support:
the latest Essentials is v1.5.1 and as of now 1.6's List Editor will not be coming to Essentials
so at this point Essentials breaks further off the full MPC Software beyond the single track, no track mix, etc

I've developed a lot of love for Element / Essentials but will enthuse those in a separate thread as this one is quite possibly worth deleting.
