i overlay many samples and end up with tracks hitting the peaks resulting audio clipping.

if i turn the master volume down from the software, will it prevent the clipping when exporting my tracks? or should i turn down the volume of each sample layers(or individual track faders)?

Yeah try lowering the volume of the samples first. If you hear clipping, then you'll have to sample the sources again until its right.

Layering a bunch of samples can cause clipping because you are super charging identical frequencies that become louder. Lower a few samples first to see wherethe clipping ends, then adjust to keep it all balanced and loud.

Once you master this, you are already halfway down to learning how to mix
