Need some help. I just made a beat but I want to duplicate the track my samples are on to make a filtered bass version in every sequence (the beat is lacking bass). Is there any easy way of doing this without duplicating the program & track in each sequence and filtering the samples in every sequence? I must be missing something here...

you can duplicate the track then apply the filter through a track insert without duplicating or editing the program.

after you duplicate the track go into your track mixer, hit the f* button that takes you to the inserts and then stick a lp filter on it.

Well...if u put your fx directly on your pads in program edit (not program mix) u should be fine....so I actually suggest duplicating the program and edit that in program edit mode....since it will apply to all sequences that use that particular program...so u can make a dope baseline, and just copy the track, and not having to go into track mix inserts/on/add fx in the track mix, every sequence, guess u already made several..this way u can copy the track with the original tune, in a new track with the duplicate...so the variations the original tune may will be in sync with your bass track... Cuz in track mix and program mix section its kinda tricky..... Sometimes I copy the sequence containing the automated track (inserts in track mix), and then add the tracks of the other sequences that haven't got FX on it afterwards, sometimes that actually faster...especially when,u have several tracks with fx on "m.....it can be tricky when u have a whole song laid out and then wanna add a bass or percussion with a FX on the mixer, u have to copy the track and add/edit the track-FX per sequence... But with the preview we saw of 1.7 it will contain a unified mixer...so that wont be an issue no more....

Thanks guys. I duplicated the program and applied a filter to all pads via prog edit, I still had to appy a gain effect to every sequence because the volume was too low though. Looking forward to this 1.7 update, a unified mixer will be bliss

I made a mess on my leg thinking about a 1.7 unified mixer.... :smoker:
