1.6 + mavericks

once a week with heavy use, vst instruments and fx, some automation, etc

much more stable than it used to be -- and when it crashes im usually really pushing it or trying to do too many things at once

Depending on how much I am doing with VSTs... I have gone a few months with none and have at most had 3 in a month or so (4 weeks or more)

I think 'some' issues are result of system configurations and usage.

in the close to two years I've had it...the ren hardware : never.... the software: twice.

win 7 + ren 1.6

i experience a minor crash quite regularly, when i'm working on one beat and i open a different one, the software can sometimes lock up, but when i turn the ren off and on again the software will wake up and finish loading the beat.

I get a major crash about once a week, i'm not exactly sure what causes these major crashes (completely frozen, sometimes i can't even kill the process in task manager) but it usually happens when i'm in the process of arranging sequences or doing various sorts of tweaking to a finished track.

i've had a couple of crashes while i was trying to work with some vsts (minihost modular beta, tonespace, neither of these seem to be particularly stable), and thats the only time i've lost progress on tracks due to a crash.

No way I could deal with a setup performing like that.

Rarely these days (~ once every 200 hours of use) - but then I know what makes it crash and tend to work around them if I can.

Crashes often after its 'lost connection/communication with computer' or whatever that message is - power cycle after this (before continuing) and no problems.

This also encourages me to stay at the controls longer...
