I Can't Hear A Thing !

I have a NEW Renaissance MPC .. NEW MPC Headphones .. I downloaded the MPC software, and the sounds show active levels .. [Computer Apple IMAC 10.9 / 21.5] But cannot hear anything ? I checked every knob possible .. No Luck .. My Plug-Ins are "The Bank, The Wub" .. The 809 .. and The Noise" ..

Have you installed the beta driver for the Renaissance audio interface with Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks)?

After installing that, make sure the MPC Software audio device is set to the Renaissance, and that the Direct Mon knob on the Renaissance is turned towards Comp.

got no troubleshooting for you.....but i can't hear anything, just to support you and let you know, is in fact the most often sentence to hear in every studio on this planet....
so you are not alone....head up....

I appreciate the feedback .. I do not have a driver or audio interface .. I just have the software that came with the package .. I purchased Akai Monitors .. on the Maverick Settings Sound window, I have the option of either Monitors, Built In Speakers, or Renaissance .. I plan to purchase the EIE Interface in a week or two .. So will this driver work without an audio interface temporarily ? If so where do I get this driver ..

The Renaissance has a built in audio interface for the computer, which is similar to the EIE Pro, you do not need another audio interface.

You should go to the Akai Pro website, download the latest version of MPC Software, version 1.6 for Mac, along with the beta Renaissance audio driver for Mac OS X 10.9, and install them both...

Then go into MPC Software preferences/audio, and set the audio device to be the Renaissance.

Also, if you still cant hear anything from the MPC, set the output in MPC's audio settings to use your laptop's speakers…that should work at very least.

Awesome .. ! It worked, the driver was installed successfully .. and I recorded a 8 bar demo just to ensure everything was working properly .. The sound came out of my Speakers / Monitors .. The headphones worked "Only" from the monitors .. plugged in the headphones to the MPC .. still nothing .. "BuT" satisfied to say the least ..

Get another set of headphones and try those and make sure you turn up those volume knobs in the front
