Just messing around with 1.7 today after a couple weeks out of the studio and it seems to me that the mixer actually 'sounds' better???

Without routing the sounds individually out through Reaper (via ReaRoute) I'm able to get a full, wide, clear sound far easier than before which suggests to me that the way the mixer handles sound has improved quite a bit.

Is this just due to the increased headroom perhaps?

Or am I just losing my mind :-D

I got a chance to really sit down in front of 1.7 today and thought the same thing to myself, but thought maybe it was placebo, plus I just got a new desk and finally have my monitors placed correctly, so I don't know for certain, but it did sound pretty good...just glad I can do decent gain staging from it now...
