i copied a sample to all 16 pads. is there a way to edit pad one without affecting every other pad. a friend told me its possible on the maschine and now its bothering me.. thanks for any help

go to program edit
find edit zone which is in the middle of the screen and choose current.
It is not the groovebox it 's your skillz

No, it's not possible in the way maschine does. You can edit the sample on pad one and save as a copy of the sample and assign that copy to pad one. But in the end you will have 16 different samples if you change it on every pad.
