I'm using the 809 expansion pack.

I write a pattern - no problems at all.

Then.... Say I want to change the decay on the kick drum whilst the MPC is playing

The interface constantly jumps to settings for which ever pad is current playing -

Making it impossible to edit anything on the 809 GUI whilst the mpc is playing
as soon as you alter a knob or setting on one pad it's jumped to another and you have a mess.

How do you set it so you can work on one pad at a time whilst the pattern is running?

Thanks, Leo

Sorry - Let me try and explain a bit clearer:

If I have a pattern running on the 809 and I try to change anything on the 809 interface page - it is impossible - because it is constantly switching from setting to setting as each pad plays. give it a try and let me know if it's the same for any of you.

thanks, Leo

You must be able to alter stuff whilst it's running, surely? you need to hear tuning etc. in context of the pattern. this is either a bug - or I'm missing something.

Not a bug brother, that is how it is programed. That is why everyone pretty much still use 707/808/909 kits instead of The 809. It was brought up when the Ren was first released but, never fixed. So, chalk it up as the design of the software and go back to your pre-made kits...like the rest of us.
