Hi, may name is Daniel, I have this problem when i try to up date the Mpc software 1.7 (Error: Timeout - 0x0005)

It says:

-Make sure that you have enough hard drive space (I do)
-Log into your system as the "Administrator" or as another user that has permissions to install software. (I am)
-Windows Users: Disable your system's User Account Control (I did this)
-Windows Users: Scan your system with the system file checker (I do)
Unfortunately the installation failed.
(Error: Timeout - 0x0005)

Windows 7

I did everything to fix it. Please help me i aim fed up with the situation

I got me Renaissance today and am having the same problems with timeout errors.

The Ren driver and MPC software updated,but the firmware will not.
Any help?

hm..
make sure you are just installing the drivers for the machine you have. you dont need the others. those wont install anyways if you dont have that if im correct.

Yeah every time I turn on the Ren it says I need to update the firmware. So I dl'd the 1.10 firmware but the software times out when I try and update it.

if i had to use another computer to use mpcisilz i wouldnt even be using it..i cant afford another computer jus tlike that..but shit if you can then you might have too ;\

well the forums have been slow lately.
so the helpful ppl arent posting much.
but if you cant get it to work id suggest hitting up the support desk on akais site and see how they can help y ou.



Because thats what I and many others had to do. I could not upgrade my firmware on my studio pc. When a friend came through with a low tier $300 dell, the firmware worked.

So my advice still stands, try another computer. Support desk will tell you to try another pc also.

i guess i got lucky that i was able to use it on mine.
sort of.
cuz i used it when i had win 8 and it was harrible. then i **** up my hd tryign to format it and got win 7 and it works fine now..but if i had to use another laptop/computer..i wouldnt be using this.

Yeah I'm not going to buy another computer in hopes that MAYBE that will fix the problem. Akai needs to get it's ish together.

Oh and Silis I tried everything in that thread and no luck yet. But thanks for the reply. I also sent a message to akai and have gotten no response yet.

No one said buy another computer, but to try another one. Akai can't help you, it's a ongoing issue. Find a friend or coworkers laptop and do the firmware update on it.
