Who else can confirm that when changing the 809 or bank presets the MPC audio drops out?

I'm on OSX if that's the case for everyone theN Akai has got to really focus on making MPC workflow smooth so one can just build up a track without having drop outs.

Coming from hardware this has never been the issue. Now with all these plugin and software drop outs are really a big workflow killer.

Curious to hear everyone's thoughts..

dont know wha tyou mean..

but i have seen a few people here complaining how you cant use qlinks to change the tuning and have it stay like that and it goes back to the original sound everytime it reaches a new event.

what I meant is that the track playing back in MPC software, the audio drops out when I change a preset in the 809 or bank plugin

its stops for a moment and loads the new preset then continues

YEs.. Like when you save while the sequence is still running...

IT would be by design from when they first started building the software...

I dont use the bank or 809, does the audio drop out and come back in time? or does it pause the sequence, then come back in?

do you have a track programmed already?
and if you change the preset..then yes it will stop for a secon or 2...because it has to load up..but it should play agian like nermal after that

That's exactly what I am talking about.

Track is playing and then it drops out, after load is complete the audio comes on again, it's annoying as fk.

It's almost 2015 and these companies need to focus on workflow, by that I mean:

we should be able to do as much as possible without having to stop the sequence playing or get hiccups in the audio, pro tools is capable of doing it.

Now over to akai :)

it is?

dude..its just a **** second..but what ever..

i dont really mind

yeah it's a big deal I use MPC as a plugin in pro tools and PT stops whenever I switch a preset, I'm coming from hardware it's a good thing when MPC just keeps playing without hiccups

For me it means that I won't be using MPC to host any plugins or instruments

those are small things but imagine looking for a sound and everytime U switch preset the MP stops I sometimes go thru 100s of presets on one track just to get my sounds right
By pituchez Sun Nov 30, 2014 6:47 pm
hmmm
i guess so..

like i said..if you go through 100's of sounds..its still just like a second before it loads..atleast on my computer..and my computer sucks..im on 4 gigs of ram and run a lot of sht...so it doesnt bother me..

but err one is different
