I'm using my Ren along with plug-ins from Waves, Sonnox and some others that works fine with minimal hits to the cpu. I have 8gs of memory in my system. My problem is I have a Apollo Quad that should run on it's own cpu thus freeing up processing on the unit using it's plugs. When I try to use them my cpu meter in the Ren software goes to the max and I start getting stutters and skips in the tracks. I checked the preferences and nothing seems off to me. Am I overlooking something? I know I can find a workaround but it would be a headache to do so. I want to use them but I need to know if I can this way. Any information would be appreciated.

sup shon.

maybe your computer sucks and needs more ram..dont know.

but now you can load up a plugin/vst what ever..and go to sample record set it to resample and play what ever you want and keep the sample and take the plugin off so it wont use up a lot of ram/cpu

There are known issues with using the Apollo that I hope will be addressed sooner rather than later. Unfortunately, the MPC Software is not a DAW certified to be used with UAD plugins...as such UAD Tech Support provides very little assistance.

The issue you are having with the Apollo Quad is likely with Firewire. Try using Thunderbolt which should better but not perfectly.
