Having a real big problem guys, any help would be amazing.

So I got my new MPC studio yesterday and installed all the drivers etc. However the only samples that will load onto pads are the emulations and content that installs on the first disk. Meaning The Bank And The 809 will not load any sounds. I can see the files in the browser, but when they drag on to a pad they do not load.

This morning I have completely uninstalled MPC using the uninstall apps found in /Libary/Akai folder- Then reinstalled and updated back up on the latest drivers and firmware and I STILL have the same issue!!

I purchased this item as I wanted the free content that shipped with it and I'm finding this maddening, I've had the controller for nearly 48 hours and not even been able to start a beat yet!

Anyone have any ideas? I've ran out.

bwahaha..
yes everyone..well maybe not everyone has this problem but a lot of people do.

you cant load those samples to the pads. they are part of plugins. which means you have to use a plugin to use them.

so under track instead of using "drum" chose "plugin" then load up the 809 or any other vst you have. after you do that you can select different presets and use pad banks for different sounds :Sigh: :WTF:

Aww you poor thing....

Tell me more about the installation procedure to have gone through... first.

Have you been able to install all 3 disk's content?

Did you update MPC or the Expansions? If so, did you update them all?

Can you load either of the plug-ins via the plug-in browser?

We'll try to get you fixed up, I had a few issues with it at first as well.

I think that the installation software is supposed to appear in your account on the Akai website, after you register.

If not, then I think that Akai should be able to supply images of the installation files, if necessary.

Did you try loading it to a plug-in track instead if dragging samples to pads?

Hi, thanks for your help,. I was being a noob. However, I'm still stuck. I can now access the bank and the presents make noise if I click on the on screen keyboard using my mouse. But they don't assign to the pads on the mpc meaning I can't play noises. The 809 expansion seems to work and self assigns its self to my pads, why does the bank not do this?

I also have a carillion 49 ky midi keyboard that i can't seem to get working with the software. any help would be ace. Thanks guys

how were you being a n00b?

also hmm..

if you are getting the noise to work and not the 809 duno what proby can be.

you are loading it up right?

you have to load up the plugins to get them to make noise...and you can click on the pad and it will make a noise.. also try diff pad banks.. its like going up/down on keyboard..
